Feedback

recently we completed an online form for clients of patrick ward to fill out after their counseling sessions. that got me thinking about how important feedback is to the continued success of a company in any industry.

what comes to mind first is the importance of receiving feedback from your customers. as the end-users of your product or service they know best how well things work on the receiving end. find some way to get information back from them about their experience with your product or service. what did they like, what could be better?

also as important is taking time to listen to your employees. they are not only knowledgeable about your products, but about your processes as well. plus, they are working with those processes all day every day, and probably thinking of better ways to do it! it is important actively get feedback from them, but also to create an atmosphere that allows them to come to you with suggestions.

lastly it is important to get feedback from yourself. setting aside time to think about your life and how you are moving towards your goals and dreams will not only aid you in achieving those, but often leaves you feeling refreshed and invigorated about life as well.

speaking of feedback, you may have noticed (i would hope you noticed), that this site has received a little bit of refreshment and redesign. part of the new design involves a much better commenting system, so please leave your thoughts about the new look and the contents of this post.
